Use the process, not the shape, to decide
Many factories default to shape-based naming, but the right choice depends on whether the part is entering an oven, a chemical bath, a spray booth, or only a storage and shipping stage.
Masking caps are not the same as protection caps
High-temperature silicone masking caps belong in finishing workflows. Tube-end, dust, and transport caps belong in storage, assembly, and contamination control workflows. The website architecture should keep those choices clearly separated.
Reuse value matters
Reusable materials may justify a higher unit cost when loading speed, reduced scrap, and predictable removal have a measurable effect on line performance.
